  1. I think that a majority of people make Facebook their priority, so whether it's through the phone, or computer, I believe the ones that make it their priority will give the international news another reason as to why they are so dependent upon it.

  2. Facebook is a way for people to talk and gather their own versions of truth. And in attempting to expand Facebook to people who may not have had that access before can now describe a world people may have ignored.

  3. News on Facebook can be important for International Media as it allows for information to spread quickly and can be shared by friends internationally, quicker than traditional media. With Facebook and others trying to expand the availability of the internet to more people, information can be spread quicker to and from remote areas. Whether the information is credible is another issue.

  4. I think with all of the users that Facebook has it would be a very easy way for news to spread along, weather it is on a phone, tablet, or computer. This will give the public many very different views and opinions.

  5. The only downfall of social media spreading news fast whether it is Facebook or any other social media site is that sometimes information isn't acurate. However a plus is that accurate information can spread quickly to every part of the world. This makes this issue kind of a give and take.

  6. I feel as though Facebook is a wonderful platform for any type of media, especially International Media. In today's society, the majority of people do not read newspapers or follow news avidly. However, most people do check their Facebook at least once a week. With that being said, the amount of views, and sharing throughout facebook greatly benefits International media by providing a large platform for sharing.

  7. Facebook is something that people use all over the world. The US has been using Facebook as a large resource for news and broadcasting the last few years. But as Facebook is expanding and now is available in over 200 languages, it opens the door to communicate with places in a whole new way.

  8. Facebook has features that push the information you like or comment on to your friends, which is a really good way to get news to travel. (Not to mention when you share things, you can often include your own opinion.) I know that personally, I have friends in a couple countries outside of the US that I can follow on Facebook, which means that news from this part of the world or from their part can be converged on the feed.
