I learned that visual stimulation will help my presentation. Her power point presentation was appealing to the eye, which helps keep your audience's attention. The advice she gave was to enjoy school. I liked this because many times I dread it. So hearing from a graduate that I should appreciate the last moments I have here, actually meant something.
I learned a lot from Petra. I enjoyed the Prezi format versus that of PowerPoint, as it gave it more flow to the presentation. It took me by surprise to see a video and so many photographs, and made me switch tracks from statistics to viewing this as a real place. I also really enjoyed how comfortable she was with the information, and the laid back way she showed it to us.The advice she gave the class was to enjoy school while it lasts.
Well Petra's presentation gave me a better understanding on what is expected on our own presentation. I really enjoyed the fact that she was able to relate to the country by showing photos and telling us her experience while being there. Her advice to us was to enjoy the college life because once you graduate its not all that great! I honestly think that is great advice seeing that I want to rush through it to be done, I will just have to slow down and enjoy it!
I feel like the best thing all of us can do to help our presentations would be to have many visuals! It helped to see the visuals and to get to know what she was talking about as a real place and not just statistics and information. Her advise that she gave to the class was extremely inspiring and i think everyone in the class can say it is something we will take to heart.
Petra had a very nice presentation and I learned that I can use videos or different slide transitions in my presentation. The advice she gave was to enjoy school while we can.
I really enjoyed how she juxtaposed western culture with Jordanian culture. Examples such as, "theological society vs. logical society" provided an enlightening contrast that made her presentation more relate-able than if she were to simply recite facts and statistics.
I learned a lot from Petra in class on Thursday. She went into great depth in describing the country of Jordan. All of her visuals really helped draw me as a viewer in and enjoy her presentation. I took notes on what to do on my presentation from watching her and really got a lot of excellent tips. I am definitely going to incorporate some of the visuals she used in her project, in mine.
Petra's presentation successfully illustrated several things. She showed that a country is more than just numbers and media influence. And, while those things are important, it's also important to dive into the culture and see what life is like for the people of the respected nation.
I learned that there are many facts that can be presented. We don't have to focus on just one or two things, we can focus on many and tie it up at the end. I enjoyed her presentation and having a personal touch was very interesting.
She showed a lot of facts and numbers in her presentation. She also showed things like videos for the presentation. I'll need to look into this stuff for when I do my presentation.
Number one, videos can be great. Number two, be prepared. The advice was to enjoy school.
I learned from her presentation that visuals are important. Also, it helps to be very informative of the country you are presenting about. I'm sure the class wouldn't have been much interested in her presentation if she appeared to not be interested in what she was speaking about. Her knowledge of the country really made me listen and stay interested because I knew she was not just making stuff up. Pictures of her actually in the country was a plus. Her advice was to enjoy school while it last because once we're out, the REAL world begins.
I really enjoyed her presentation. She used different materials to make her content abundant. I like the video that she played, which drew my attention to her. I will consider using different forms like pictures, videos, and data to present my country.
Petra's presentation was outstanding. I learned how well videos work in a presentation. I learned about the country of Jordan as well. Also, I took her advice to heart and learned to enjoy these moments in college.
i learned something valuable ....take good videos everywhere you go. you never know when you need them. the presentation was awsome and the use of videos was compelling. Thanks Sweiss:):)
