  1. Vice is reaching out to at least 150 million people per month, which is only in the United States and 35 other countries. It has expanded digitally, as well as television and film which makes it even easier to reach out to numerous audience. It was mentioned that 9.3 million people are accessing it through the United States, that is one powerful brand all right!

  2. Vice is reaching "a total of 150 million people each month across the globe," as well as 35 countries, besides the U.S.

Vice is able to reach this many countries and people because they continue to grow and increase in strength and power.

  3. Vice is reaching 36 countries, and in just one month its website had 9.3 million individual views. The company says it is reaching 150 million people globally, but according to the Times, that is hard to verify. The reasons for these incredibly high numbers are due to Vice's claim that it reaches the "new generation of millennial viewers," which A&E's chief executive says is a hard demographic to attract. It's reach will most likely be even more positively effected by investments made by A&E and TVC for broader topic coverage and technological improvements, respectively.

  5. Vice currently reaches approximately 150 million all over the world, but that number is hard to confirm. In the U.S. for July it has attracted 9.3 million people. They are also reaching 36 countries. I believe they are reaching so many because of all the different ways they are choosing to output their news.

  6. Vice is an edgy alternative-ish news source. It was bound to happen, what we're calling convergence. These people not only have a command of new media, they have a better understanding of how this elusive generation, or more specifically the "elusive young male" (how weird...) would like to see important event coverage. They are using a variety of mediums and styles to evolve to new news ecology. It's no surprise that they are reaching 150 million worldwide. It's no surprise that they are aiming for a global audience. I think the strategy is brilliant, even if the delivery borders on sensationalism. Networks should be taking notes, if they want to continue to be relevant.

  7. Vice reaches the U.S. and 35 other countries, and 150 million people all over the world. While hard to be exact, it is estimated that in July only, 9.3 million people were reached. Vice's goal is to reach the toughest audience to reach with news. That is the young elusive male, new generation of millennial viewers.

  8. It's no surprise that vice is making deals. The company has found the formula within multiple media formats. We have been discussing the reach of ISIS through social media and the effect that social media can have, Vice is another great example of that power, and their ability to properly target certain demographics through social media and other formats weighs heavily in an equation where we see a resulting heavy viewership. Reaching 35 countries as well as the United States, Vice is posed to be the next major media corporation. And, while there news garners many viewers, they have the outlets for monetary support through their advertising and entertainment sectors.

  10. 150 million worldwide. I feel they are reaching a young audience that wants to stay informed. They are able to both entertain and inform an audience that doesn't focus for too long.

  11. The article says it reaches people in the US and 35 other countries, but because it's also on mobile and other devices, that number could be more. The reason for this is Vice is expanding, making decisions to bring their content to numerous others.
